Golf Course Rules and Regulations
The following rules of golf and golf etiquette are listed as a reminder that golf is a gentleman's game and should be played as such. All members and guests will be expected to cooperate by the rule listed below. This will assist us in assuring all players the higest quality experience while enjoying our golf course.
U.S. Golf Association rules shall govern play at all times except as modified by local rules.
1. Operations: The Golf Course is open every day from 7:00 AM until sundown. The driving range and putting green are lighted until 11:00 PM.
2. Registration: All players must register in the Golf Shop before beginning play. Without exception, starting point for all play is number one tee, unless permission to commence elsewhere has been obtained from the Golf Shop or Starter. However, continuing groups from number one tee have priority of play.
3. Driving Range: The Driving Range is for use of members, guests, and the general public. Personal practice balls are not allowed. Tokens for range balls may be purchased from the Golf Shop, the Front Desk, or Marco's Lounge. The range balls are dispensed from a ball machine located on the range. Range balls are not to be picked up or removed from the driving range.
4. Members' Personal Carts: Members who live on the golf course or in the Villas at Olympia Spa are allowed to use their carts on the course. Prior to going onto the course, they are required to check in at the golf shop. They pay a trail fee equivalent to dues for this privilage, and this privilege is extended only to the members and eligible family members. Guests and other riders are still obligated to register in the golf shop and make appropriate payment for cart fee, green fee or guest fee.
5. Players are allowed to use individually owned pull carts, but please remember to keep them off the greens.
6. Golf carts are not to be used by more than two passengers (one child under age six (6) is permitted). Only two golf bags are permitted on a golf cart at any one time.
7. Users of power golf carts are expected to follow private paths and adhere to directional signs on the course. Power golf carts are not be driven within 30 feet of the greens or the aprons and shoulders attendant thereto unless on the cart paths. Carts shall not be driven within 15 feet of tees or sand traps except where the paths are within that distance.
8. All players must observe the directions of the Starter and/or Marshall when they are on duty.
9. Tournament activity will control starting times on number one and number ten tee. Tournament play and scheduled activities shall take precedence over regular play.
10. Proper golf attire must be worn on the golf course, driving range, and practice green at all times (no tee shirts, tank tops, cut-off jeans, etc.)
11. The Golf Professional and Course Superintendent are authorized to determine when the golf course is unfit for golf play or use of golf carts due to weather conditions or course maintenance program.
Observe GOLF ETIQUETTE at All Times.
Listed below are several Golf Etiquette rules as adopted by the United States Golf Association:
1. No one should move, talk, or stand close to or directly behind the ball or the hole when the player is addressing the ball or making a stroke.
2. No player should play until the players in front of them are out of range.
3. All players should: Repair their Ball Marks, Rake Traps, Replace Divots.
4. SLOW PLAY. It is everyone's responsibility to eliminate Slow Play. Your position on the golf course must be maintained except when allowing others to play through or per instructions from the Starter, Marshall, or Golf Shop. If your playing group fails too keep its place on the course, (defined by one clear hole ahead), it Must Allow Following Players being held up to Play Through.
5. When the play of a hole has been completed, players should immediately leave the putting green.
Use discretion in inviting a guest to play golf, being sure they understand and will abide by the rules of golf etiquette. Pleas remember that a breach of etiquette by your guest reflects on you.
As a member of the club, it is your duty to fully aquaint the members of your family and guests with the rules of the game.
Remember that loud talking, yelling etc. on the golf course may disturb others.

GENERAL RULES
1. Guests: Guests are permitted to visit at the invitation of members, Management or Golf Professional. Members must register their guests at the Front Desk for the pools or in the Golf Shop when checking in for a round. The number of golf guests will be limited to twelve per year per member. This is to protect your membership from being abused by another party. Anyone who wishes to play here regularly may become a member, paying the applicable initiation fees and dues.
2. Children: For safety reasons, children 14 years of age and under are not to be out on the property without a parent, or other responsible adult, present. Parents must assume the responsibility of children's behavior while on the club premises. Members are responsible for indebtedness incurred by their children while they are using the facilities of the club. Children must be at least 16 years of age to drive any golf cart (owned, leased, or rented) on our premises.
3. Damages: Any member or guest who willfully damages furniture or other club property may incur costs of repairs or replacement.
4. Pets: Pets of members and guests must be on a leash and are allowed only in designated areas, which do not include any public areas such as the driving range, golf course, patios, or swimming area.
5. Dress: Informal attire is permitted in the lounge, restaurant, and locker rooms. Swimming attire is permitted only in the pool area, locker rooms, and spa. Proper golf attire must be worn on the golf course, driving range, and putting green at all times.
6. Food & Beverage: All food and beverage consumed in public areas must be purchased from Marco's Restaurant and Lounge. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the premises at any time for consumption in public areas.
7. Tobacco: Smoking is permitted in most areas unless otherwise posted. Please be courteous with your butts and chew. Remember that cigarette butts are not biodegradable and destroy the landscape. Flowerpots and the sand buckets on the carts are not ashtrays or spittoons. The sand is there to repair your divots.
